For the record: Singing Cowboys

In order to maintain my proper image as an Okie…

I purchased my own sidearm today:

Private lessons start next Wednesday, classical instruction. I’ll continue with private lessons and add school lessons next semester.

Cowboys, u r doin’ it wrong!

Oklahoma Pro-Life Bill … coming to a state senate floor near you.

I would like to live in a world that was devoid of rape and incest.

I would like to live in a world where every pregnancy was expected and welcomed.

I don’t live in that world.

I live in a world where women are violated in a rate count of incidents per second.

I live in a nation [...]

Free Jynkies!

Jynx has taken well to the antibiotics. The swelling in her eye is almost completely gone. Her WBC count is normal — a little high here and there in other tests but nothing alarming. The vet has cleared her to come home.

Thank you all for the well-wishes in the previous post.

Horse-life can be hard [...]

Bastard Strangles.

My mare.
She has it.

Spent yesterday evening at the vet’s office. My Walker mare has developed bastard strangles — it’s infected the ocular lymph nodes of her left eye.

More Charity Relief: You Help Decide!

For those of you who missed the news:
The Iowa Charity Relief Anthology is live and over at ReliefAnthology.com

Now, I’m intending on laying out plans for the next four quarterly anthologies … given the number of charitable organizations and relief efforts I’m having trouble choosing what to do next. So I thought I’d let the vox [...]

Internet, meet Matt Dillon

We are currently debating his coloring. He does have a dorsal stripe. He is a roan — but he has red, black , gray and white hairs. Someone mentioned Blue Rose Roan as a possible coloration…I had never heard of it.**

**There are plenty of things I’ve never heard.
