Learning Cliff: Don’t Look Down

I started on the old Argentinian saddle tree this week. This was the tree that *was* broken in about three different spots.

Here the tree is, being slowly turned back into an Alien face-hugger.

Neoprene cushion, there is additional neoprene (not shown) skived and attached to the bum area of the cushion as well as the spine.

Happy Neutron Day!

Today was my birthday. Thank you to all for the well wishes — quite literally (digitally speaking) from around the world. My laptop finally gave the ghost about a week ago (mechanical failure of the hard drive…*sigh*) which is a good part of the reason for me being absent here ’round the interverse. Please don’t [...]

Utopion!

“Welcome to Duloc, such a perfect town. Here we have some rules, let us lay them down. Don’t make waves, stay in line, and we’ll get along fine. Duloc is a perfect place. Please keep off on the grass, shine your shoes, wipe [...]

But hey, with a P.h.D in Lit (or Comp or Creative Writing) I [...]

For those that write, edit or do both…

So, Monday marks my entrance into the first semester of an English and literature heavy semester. I’ve been going through the course material all ready (because that’s the way I geek, yo) and I’m curious:

When writing, editing, or reading; how much attention do you pay to the individual sentence?

I ask because I’m a tad overwhelmed [...]

I can haz relaxazhun nao?

Back from the barn earlier than anticipated. I’m getting spooky efficient with the feedings. Morning feedings with vetting of the sick 2-year-old are down to less than an hour; evening feedings down to about 35 minutes. I’ll have developed the swing of the thing by the time the owner comes back Monday a.m.

We fed a [...]
